Kaya uses SMTP for password resets and optional Secure Send messages. It does not receive email.

Create a dedicated relay account permitted to send only from Kaya's address. In Site Administration > Email > General, enter host, port, username, password, sender address/name and select STARTTLS or implicit SSL according to the provider. Set the public Base URL first, enable SMTP, save and send a test.

Typical ports are 587 for STARTTLS and 465 for implicit SSL, but follow the relay's documentation. Restrict relay source networks and avoid a personal mailbox credential. The password is encrypted in Kaya's database and not shown after saving.

If delivery fails, inspect Kaya's message and container log, then check DNS, routing, TLS trust, relay authentication, From-address policy and quarantine logs. See Email Not Sending.

To remove SMTP, disable it and revoke the account or token at the relay. Password-reset emails and configured Secure Send mail will stop.
