Backup Administration

Under Module Settings > Backup Manager, Admins create named targets and choose the default. The current target types are local directory, SMB, FTP and SFTP-style remote configuration. Kaya validates formats and offers a read/write or connection test appropriate to the target.

Saved credentials are encrypted at rest, then supplied to an authenticated backup agent when a job is dispatched. Restrict the service account to its backup location and use a separate account per environment.

The module coordinates Docker workload jobs only when the reporting agent advertises the needed capability. Manual records are documentation, not executable schedules. A queued or dispatched status is not evidence of a valid artifact; inspect the returned job state/log and test a restore.
